Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. As a Dentist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dental care to our patients, diagnosing and treating various oral health conditions, and promoting oral hygiene and preventive dental care. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental examinations, providing treatment plans, conducting dental procedures, and educating patients on proper dental care practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Dental Examinations and Diagnoses:

  • Perform thorough oral examinations to assess patients' dental health and identify any oral conditions or diseases.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as X-rays, dental impressions, and other diagnostic tests to aid in accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and communicate treatment plans to patients, explaining proposed procedures, expected outcomes, and associated costs.
  • Collaborate with other dental specialists or healthcare professionals, as necessary, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

2. Dental Procedures and Treatments:

  • Perform a wide range of dental procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
  • Administer local anesthesia or sedation to patients when required, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and address any immediate complications or emergencies that may arise during treatment.
  • Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and address any questions or concerns they may have.

3. Preventive Care and Patient Education:

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care to maintain good oral health.
  • Conduct routine dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
  • Identify and address patients' oral health risk factors, such as smoking or poor diet, and provide guidance for improvement.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists and dental assistants to ensure patients receive comprehensive preventive care.

4. Record-keeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, procedures performed, and medications prescribed.
  • Document patient interactions, diagnoses, and treatment outcomes in a timely and organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality and record-keeping.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Certification:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of a dental residency program is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Current and valid dental license issued by the relevant state licensing board.

2. Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Dentist is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
  • Proficiency in performing a wide range of dental procedures and treatments is desirable.
  • Familiarity with dental software systems and digital imaging technology is an asset.

3. Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of dental best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Proficiency in using dental instruments and equipment
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
